The Fall Home Organization Checklist: 8 Spaces to Fix Before the Holidays
September has a way of making everything feel possible.
The kids settle back into school. Schedules return. Temperatures eventually cool down—or at least Texas tells us they might.
Then suddenly, Thanksgiving arrives.
Before holiday cooking, guests, grocery hauls, and entertaining take over your home, tackle the storage areas that create the most frustration.
1. The Pots-and-Pans Cabinet
If finding one skillet requires removing six other things, start here.
Full-extension kitchen shelves bring cookware into view and reduce the need to kneel and dig.

2. The Baking Cabinet
Holiday season means baking season.
Create easier access to mixers, baking sheets, muffin tins, casserole dishes, and ingredients before you need them.
3. The Pantry
Pull everything forward.
Check expiration dates.
Create zones.
Then ask yourself whether fixed shelves make it harder than necessary to keep those zones organized.
The Shelf King offers pantry pull-outs for canned goods, snacks, small appliances, and bulk storage.

4. Under the Kitchen Sink
Give cleaners, dishwasher supplies, sponges, and trash bags a real home.
Custom shelf sizing can help make better use of cabinets with obstacles and plumbing.
5. The Guest Bathroom
The week before guests arrive is not the time to discover that your vanity cabinet contains twelve half-empty bottles and no extra toilet paper.
Organize it now.

6. The Small-Appliance Cabinet
If holiday cooking brings out your mixer, blender, slow cooker, pressure cooker, and food processor, put those appliances somewhere you can actually reach them.
Shelf King pull-outs support up to 100 pounds at full extension.
7. The Cabinets You Avoid
Everyone has one.
You open the door.
Something falls.
You close the door.
September feels like a good time to end that relationship.
8. The Entire House—One Cabinet at a Time
You don’t need to overhaul your entire home in one weekend.
Start with the cabinet that frustrates you most, then work outward.
